In this program, you will hear:

• The story of Army tank gunner, Ted Rambur, and the day his tank brigade faced off with the powerful German artillery. He was seriously wounded but survived making it back home after the war.
• The story of the horrible battle on the island of Iwo Jima in the Pacific. It was the single bloodiest battle of WWII with over 6,000 brave Marines killed in just 26 days of battle. Marine Charles Lindbergh was there and was part of the squad of men who raised that first flag on top of Mt. Suribachi.
• The story of one of the most amazing events of WWII. It’s the story of the famous Doolittle’s Raiders, who took off from the decks of aircraft carriers in their B25 bombers to perform a surprise bombing attack on Tokyo, Japan. The amazing part is that they did not have enough fuel to get their planes back safely, but they went anyway. Air Force Sergeant Jacob DeShazer was there. He will tell his story of a crash landing, of his capture and torture by the Japanese in their prison camps. But the miracle of the story? You’ll hear for yourself how God took a horrific event and turned it into an opportunity for the Gospel to be spread.

My desired goal for this Memorial Day program?

To remind us all that “Freedom isn’t Free” and that we should all make the effort to let our veterans know just how very much we appreciate their great service to our Nation.

The show is formatted to fill a 1-hour time slot with an actual length of 44 minutes. It follows the SRN Talk Clock with segment lengths and breaks, the same as last season.

The goal in all of my shows is to honor those great Americans who have made our nation great. And, to honor Almighty God for His great faithfulness to our America
